Everything you need to know as a Valle Verde del Norte Water Cooperative member.
Membership in the cooperative is automatic — it transfers with the deed. When you close on a home in VVDN, you become a full cooperative member with voting rights and shared ownership of the water infrastructure.
Payments can be made monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually. Annual invoices are mailed each October along with the meeting notice.
All homes in the subdivision are required by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality to have a Point-of-Use (POU) arsenic filter installed at the kitchen faucet.
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality requires a POU filter in every VVDN home. This is not optional — it's a regulatory requirement tied to your property.
Filter cartridges are replaced every April. The cooperative coordinates this process and you'll receive advance notice. Resident cooperation is mandatory for continued compliance.
Each filter unit is installed at the kitchen faucet and maintained by the cooperative. If you're a new homeowner, your Welcome Package includes the maintenance agreement for your unit.
The cooperative runs on an annual cycle with predictable touchpoints so you're never caught off guard.

All members are invited to the annual meeting: year-in-review, treasurer's report, board elections, and community votes.
The monthly rate is $65, due by the 1st of each month. A $25 late fee applies if payment arrives after the 15th. You can pay monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, or annually — whatever works best for you. Annual invoices are sent in October.
The November annual meeting covers the year's operational summary, the treasurer's financial report, elections for open board seats, and any membership votes. All cooperative members are invited and encouraged to attend. Meeting details are mailed in October.
Yes — providing access for the annual April filter replacement is mandatory. The ADEQ requires all POU units to be maintained on schedule. Failing to allow access could put the cooperative's regulatory compliance at risk. The cooperative will coordinate a time that works for you.
The annual Consumer Confidence Report is published each June and contains detailed water quality testing results. Contact us if you'd like a copy, or visit our contact page to request the latest report be sent to you.
